Ozodlik Radio jubilee that did not take place
Few people know that this year Tashkent bureau of the US radio station Ozodlik (Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, RFE/RL) would turn 10 years if it was not closed.

Everything is calm in Andijan?
Exactly one year has passed since tragic events in Andijan. No matter how local officials have tried to show that everything is calm in the city, it has not been such in reality.

People are silent, but they have not forgotten anything
Meetings, demonstrations and protests devoted to the first anniversary of Andijan events were held everywhere but not where the tragedy itself took place. The reason, of course, is that residents of Andijan are very frightened by even the hypothetical possibility that something similar may repeat.
